Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Packers officially activated OL Jared Veldheer from the exempt list on Monday and waived OL Adam Pankey.
Veldheer, 31, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2010. After four years in Oakland, Veldheer signed a five-year, $35 million contract that included $10.5 million guaranteed with the Cardinals in March of 2014.
The Cardinals traded Veldheer to the Broncos in exchange for a sixth-round pick. Veldheer made a base salary of $6.5 million for the 2018 season. The Patriots signed him to a one-year, $6.5 million this past offseason but he retired a few months later.
Vehldeer was claimed off of waivers by the Packers a few weeks ago after he came out of retirement and was released by the Patriots.
In 2018, Veldheer started 12 games for the Broncos and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 58 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
