According to Adam Schefter, the Packers are set to host free agent WR Chester Rogers for a visit on Friday.
Jeremy Fowler reports that the Packers are also working out WR Devin Smith on Friday.
Smith, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Jets back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $5.872 million rookie contract that includes $3.667 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Jets waived him.
Smith caught on with the Cowboys on a futures deal for 2019 and again earlier this year. However, he was recently released.
Since entering the NFL, Smith has suffered two torn ACLs.
In 2019, Smith was limited to appearing in just four games and caught five passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.
Rogers, 26, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Grambling State back in May of 2016. He finished his three-year contract before returning to the Colts on a one-year, restricted tender last offseason.
The Dolphins signed Rogers to a one-year deal a few weeks ago before releasing him earlier in the week.
In 2019, Rogers appeared in 11 games for the Colts and caught 16 passes for 179 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
We have him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
