The Green Bay Packers announced Saturday that they’ve placed G Lane Taylor on injured reserve and signed OL Adam Pankey off of the Titans’ practice squad.
This officially opens the door for rookie Elgton Jenkins to take over as the Packers’ starting left guard.
Taylor, 29, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in 2013. He was in line to be a restricted free agent when the Packers signed him to a two-year, $4.15 million contract in 2017.
Taylor stands to make base salaries of $2.6 million and $3.8 million over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2019, Taylor has appeared in two games for the Packers, making two starts for them at left tackle.
