Packers Tried Out Five Players Including S Eddie Pleasant

The Green Bay Packers brought in five free agents for tryouts on Thursday including S Eddie Pleasant, according to Rob Demovsky.

The full list of tryouts for the Packers includes:

  1. S Ibraheim Campbell
  2. S Eddie Pleasant
  3. DT Vincent Valentine
  4. FB Dan Vitale
  5. TE Clive Walford

Pleasant, 29, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2012.ย The Texans cut Pleasant coming out of the preseason before adding him to their practice squad.

Houston elected to re-sign Pleasant to a two-year, $2.15 million contract back in 2016 and he wound up finishing out the deal. New England signed him to a contract back in July but waived him a month later.

In 2017, Pleasant appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and recorded 32 tackles, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and three pass defenses.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.

Walford, 26, is a former third-round pick out of Miami by the Raiders in the 2015 NFL Draft.ย The Raiders elected to place him on waivers back in April and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

However, Walford lasted just a few months in New York, as he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

In 2017, Walford appeared in 13 games for the Raiders and recorded nine receptions for 80 yards receiving and no touchdown.
