The Green Bay Packers officially waived G Matt Rotheram with an injury settlement and waived LS Jesse Schmitt from injured reserve with a settlement of his own.
The Packers had Rotheram working at a number of positions this summer before he got hurt.
Rotheram, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Pittsburgh last year, but was later signed to the team’s practice squad at the start of the regular season. The Packers elected to bring Rotheram back on a future/reserve contract this past January.
Rotheram has yet to appear in an NFL game.
