Panthers Re-Sign RFA RT Mike Remmers

The Carolina Panthers have re-signed restricted free agent RT Mike Remmers to a one-year deal on Tuesday, according to his agent Brett Tessler.

The Panthers used a low-round tender on Remmers that will run them $2.553 million for the 2016 season. They would have received a second-round pick if another team signed him to an offer sheet, and they elect to pass on matching it.

Remmers, 25, originally signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in 2012. He has also spent time with the Buccaneers, Chargers, Vikings and Rams before the Panthers signed him off of St. Louis’ practice squad back in 2014.

In 2015, Remmers appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 43 offensive tackle out of 77 qualifying players.
