Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that Patriots S Patrick Chung has undergone surgery on his thumb after suffering an injury during the teams win over the Chargers.
Chung was able to return to the game despite having a cast on his hand but his status for week 3 could be in question.
New England’s secondary has already given up the second most passing yards this season so the loss of Chung could have an impact on the teams performance against the underrated passing attack of the Buffalo Bills.
