Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that New England Patriots LB Jerod Mayo surprised a lot of people by returning to the practice field on Friday.
Mayo suffered a sprained MCL back in week 2 which was believed to keep him for another month. Despite returning to the practice, I doubt that he’ll be able to play on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys but it’s a really encouraging sign that he’s recovering as fast as he is.
