Patriots Place C Bryant Stork On Short-Term I.R.

The New England Patriots have officially placed starting center Bryan Stork (concussion) on injured reserve with the designation to return on Wednesday, according to the NFL transactions release.

The Patriots announced that Stork had been ruled out for their Week 1 game against the Steelers, but it appears as though his concussion is serious enough that they want to give him enough time to get back to full health.

Stork, 24, is in the second year of his four-year, $2.697 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $510,000 for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Stork appeared in 13 games for the Patriots.
