Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the injuries sustained by Patriots LB Harvey Langi after he was involved in a recent car accident make it unlikely he’ll play this season.
With this in mind, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Patriots place him on injured reserve at some point in the near future and add someone to their roster.
Langi, 25, signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract and is set to make a base salary of $465,000 this season.
So far this season, Langi has appeared in one game and recorded one tackle.
During his three-year college career with BYU, Langi recorded 137 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two interceptions, three pass defenses, and one forced fumble.
We’ll have more regarding Langi as the news is available.
