The New England Patriots signed C Jake Eldrenkamp to a futures contract for the 2019 season on Tuesday.
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Eldrenkamp, 24, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Washington back in 2017. He was on and off of their practice squad before returning to Los Angeles on a futures contract this past January.
Unfortunately, the Rams cut Eldrenkamp loose coming out of the preseason and had a brief stint on the Browns’ taxi squad.
Eldrenkamp has yet to appear in an NFL game.
