The New England Patriots announced Thursday that they’ve signed LB Shilique Calhoun to a contract.
Calhoun, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2016. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.29 million contract and set to make a base salary of $565,000 when the Raiders cut him loose coming out of the preseason last year.
Oakland later signed him to their practice squad and eventually promoted him to their active roster midseason. The Raiders re-signed Calhoun to exclusive rights deal last year, but he’s been on and off of their roster this year before being placed on injured reserve.
In 2018, Calhoun appeared in seven games for the Raiders and recorded 12 tackles and no sacks.
