The New England Patriots have signed LB Trevor Reilly to their practice squad on Wednesday and released WRย Bernard Reedy from the unit, according to Doug Kyed.
The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL James Ferentz
- WR Cody Hollister
- DB David Jones
- DB Damarius Travis
- CBย Ryan Lewis
- DB Jomal Wiltz
- TE Will Tye
- NT Mike Purcell
- G Jason King
- LB Trevor Reilly
Reilly, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. He spent just over two years in New York before he was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason last year and cut loose a few days later.
The Patriots elected to sign Reilly to their practice squad last October but the Dolphins later signed him to their active roster.
Reilly was on and off of the Dolphins’ practice squad this season before signing on to the Patriots’ taxi squad during the season. New England later promoted him to their active roster only to cut him loose to make room for James Harrison.
In 2017, Reilly has appeared in six games and recorded 10 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.
