Patriots Signing OL Luke Bowanko

Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that the Patriots are signing OL Luke Bowanko to a contract on Wednesday.

Bowanko, 26, is a former sixth-round pick out of Virginia by the Jaguars in the 2014 NFL Draft. He is entering the final year of a four-year, $2.3 million rookie contract and is set to earn a base salary of $690,000 this season.

The Jaguars placed Bowanko on the physically unable to perform list back in July of 2016 and was eventually activated off the injured reserve in December. Jacksonville traded him to the Ravens last year for a draft pick.

In 2017, Bowanko was active for all 16 games for the Ravens last year, but played just 89 total snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
