Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports that the Patriots brought in WR Cobi Hamilton for a workout on Thursday.
Hamilton, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Bengals back 2013. He was unfortunately unable to make the team coming out of the preseason during his rookie season, but was later signed to the team’s practice squad.
Hamilton briefly played for the Eagles in 2014 before returning to Bengals mid-season and later being claimed off of waivers by the Dolphins. Miami elected to waive Hamilton him at the start of last year.
The Panthers signed him to a future/reserve contract in January only to waive him a few weeks ago.
Hamilton has yet to appear in an NFL game.
