The Oakland Raiders claimed LB Martez Wilson off of waivers from the Saints on Wednesday.
- Oakland subsequently released DE Christo Bilukidi to make room for Wilson on their active roster.
The Saints used the No. 72 pick of the 2011 draft on Wilson, but he wasn’t able to carve out a role on a defensive unit that was among the worst in the league up until this season. Wilson played only 42 snaps with New Orleans this season, who interestingly enough could use some help at linebacker.
We’ll have to see how things go for him in Oakland, as he should have a decent shot at securing more playing time for the remainder of the season.
