Field Yates of ESPN, citing a league source, reports that the Oakland Raiders have signed OLย Khalif Barnes to a one-year contract extension.
According to Yates,ย Barnes’ new agreement is worth aย maximum value of $2 million and includes an additionalย $500,000 availableย in incentives. Barnes will make a base salary ofย $970,000 to go along with a $500,000 roster bonus an offseason workout bonus ofย $30,000.
Barnes, 32, is a formerย second-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars back in 2005. He finished out his rookie contract with the Jaguars before joining the Raiders in 2009.
Barnes has spent the past five years in Oakland andย signed aย one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Raiders back in February.
This year, Barnes is having a decent season as Pro Football Focus rates him as the No. 27 offensive tackle out of 75 qualifying players.
