Rams Release LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar, Promote DT Doug Worthington

The St. Louis Rams released veteran LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar on Tuesday and promoted DT Doug Worthington to their active roster, according to Nick Wagoner.

  • Rams also signed DE/LB Zack Hodges and DE Gerald Rivers to their practice squad.

Dunbar, 30, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in 2008. He spent over four years in New Orleans before joining the Rams as an unrestricted free agent back in 2012.

Unfortunately, Dunbar was released by the Rams a month ago, as St. Louis trimmed their roster down to 53 players. The Rams did, however, elected to bring him back close to a month, but it appears as though they need help elsewhere on their roster.

Dunbar hasn’t appeared in a single game this season.

In 2014, Dunbar appeared in 15 games for the Rams and recorded 36 tackles.
