Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin hasn’t ruled out running back Rashard Mendenhall for this Sunday night in Denver, per Scott Brown.
Mendenhall did take first-team reps in practice on Monday, which could be a sign that he is on the right track in rehabbing his ACL and could step onto the field sooner rather than later.
It’s been eight months since Mendenhall tore his ACL, but Steelers have been on record saying they don’t expect the running back to return to field until sometime in October. It’s seems unlikely that Mendenhall sees any game-action this weekend against the Broncos, but could be available in the coming weeks.
