Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that the Ravens, Patriots and Raiders are all keeping tabs on free agentย CB Bashaud Breeland.
As of now, Breeland expects to have follow-upย meetings with the Ravens and Patriots, who plan to reach out to him this weekend. Meanwhile, the Raiders are “continuously in contact as well,” according to Anderson.
Breeland has visited with several teams including the Ravens, Browns, Chiefs, Colts and Cardinals. The Jets have also come as a potential option for Breeland.
Back in March,ย Breeland and the Panthers agreed to a three-year, $24 million deal that includes $11 million guaranteed andย $9.5 million fully guaranteed. However, he later failed a physical due to a foot injury.
Breeland, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.706 million contract and made a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season.
Breeland is testing the free agent market for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2017, Breeland appeared in 14 games for the Redskins and recorded 48 tackles, one interception returned for a touchdown and 16 pass defenses. He also contributed 280 kick return yards. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 54 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
