Ravens Pick Up Fifth-Year Option On CB Marlon Humphrey

Albert Breer reports that the Ravens have exercised CB Marlon Humphrey‘s fifth-year option for the 2021 season on Tuesday.

The fifth-year option is guaranteed for injury only and won’t prevent the two parties from negotiating a long-term extension over the next year or so.

Humphrey, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2017. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $11.9 million contract that’s fully guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $2.08 million for the 2020 season.

In 2019, Humphrey appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 65 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, three recoveries and 14 passes defended.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 37 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
