Ravens Place Three Players On I.R. & Sign DL Casey Walker

The Baltimore Ravens announced Tuesday that they have officially placed RB Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot), S Terrence Brooks (knee) and CB Asa Jackson (knee) on season-ending injured reserve.

  • The Ravens also signed DL Casey Walker off of the Patriots’ practice squad.

The expectation was that Brooks and Jackson were both done for the season, so this news is really more of a confirmation. However, it is somewhat surprising to see them shut Taliaferro done for the year with a foot injury.

Jackson was just activated from the short-term injured reserve list a little over a week ago after he sustained a “very severely sprained toe” during Week 5’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Unfortunately for Jackson, he suffered a torn PCL this past weekend.

Jackson, 24, is in the third year of his rookie contract worth $2.24 million. He’ll make $570,000 for the 2014 season and another $660,000 next year.

His season ends with him appearing in seven games and recording 28 tackles and three pass defenses.

Toussaint, 24, signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in May. He didn’t receive a single carry this season, despite appearing in two games.
