The Washington Redskins officially designated RB Derrius Guice to return from injured reserve on Monday, according to Field Yates.
This officially opens a three-week window of time for Guice to practice with the team before Washington will need to add him to their active roster.
Guice spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve after tearing his ACL last preseason, but he picked up an injury to his other knee last month that ultimately required surgery led to him once again being placed on injured reserve.
Guice, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $4,541,936 contract that includes a $1,383,224 signing bonus.
In 2019, Guice has appeared in one game and rushed for 18 yards on 10 carries (1.8 YPC) to go along with three receptions for 20 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
