Redskins Sign LB Pete Robertson To Practice Squad

According to John Keim of ESPN, the Redskins have signed LB Pete Robertson to their practice squad on Tuesday.

They released S Orion Stewart to make room for him.

The Redskins’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. TE Manasseh Garner
  2. S Fish Smithson
  3. OL Anthony Fabiano
  4. NT Ondre Pipkins
  5. WR Keenan Reynolds
  6. LB Otha Peters
  7. OT John Kling
  8. RB Kapri Bibbs
  9. LB Pete Robertson

Robertson, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech back in May of last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and sat out the entire 2016 season.

The Redskins signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January and he was once again waived at the start of the regular season. Washington signed him to their practice squad soon after.

He was promoted to the active roster for Week 12 against the Giants and recorded two total tackles.

During his college career, Robertson recorded 227 tackles, 22 sacks, two interceptions, five forced fumbles, four recoveries and eight pass defenses over the course of five seasons.
