Redskins Signing Veteran CB Cary Williams

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins are signing veteran CB Cary Williams to a contract on Tuesday.

Williams will give Washington some added cornerback depth for the upcoming playoff matchup against the Packers.

Williams, 30, signed a three-year, $18 million contract that included a $3.5 million signing bonus with the Seahawks back in March, but he lasted less than a year with the team.

Since becoming available, Williams found interest from the Titans and Panthers, but neither team signed him to a contract.

This season, Williams has appeared in 10 games and recorded 46 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown and four pass defenses.
