Callahan, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Wesley College back in May of last year. He was able to make the 53-man roster as the teamโ€™s No. 3 quarterback coming out of the preseason but was later cut loose.

Callahan had brief stints with the Saints and Browns before returning to the Packers during the 2016 season.ย The Packers re-signed Callahan as an exclusive rights free agent during the offseason, but he was later waived and signed by the Eagles.

Since entering the NFL,ย Smith has suffered two torn ACLs.

In 2016, Smith was limited to appearing in just four games and caught one pass for 20 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
