Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports that the 49ers have waived WR Brandon Carswell on Friday.
Carswell, 24, signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of USC back in 2013. He unfortunately suffered a torn ACL during last year’s minicamp and subsequently missed the entire 2013 season.
Yesterday, there were reports that the 49ers had shown interest in possibly signing veteran WR Brandon Lloyd, so this could be an indication they are closer to adding more receiver help in free agency and/or the draft.
