Ian Rapoport reports that Packers DLย B.J. Raji plans on gauging his market value over the next few days before considering a possible return to Green Bay.
- Rapoport adds that there is a chance Raji could be back on a one-year deal with the Packers, but nothing is imminent at this point in time.
Bob McGinnย reported earlier in the week that the Packers have madeย Raji both one and two-year contract offer with theย one-year deal being worth $4 million.
Assuming that is correct, it’s hard to blame Raji for wanting to see what the market offers.
Raji, 27, reportedly turned down a contract extension that would have paid him $8 million annually last year. Heย hasn’t record a single sack since 2011, although that could have something to do with the Packers approach towards their defensive linemen. Even so, it’s not a very marketable stat for a guy who is heading into free agency.
We have him listed as the No. 41 player in ourย Top 50 Free Agents list.
