According to Woody Paige of the Colorada Springs Gazette, sources told him the Broncos don’t plan to stay at No. 15 but instead will try to trade up for Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy.
Paige mentions Denver could move up to No. 8 or No. 10, picks currently held by the Cardinals and Browns.
Denver was also linked to the Browns last week in a potential trade-back scenario as well, with Cleveland dropping from No. 10 and still getting a player they love like Boise State OT Ezra Cleveland.
Peter Schrager reported on NFL Media’s “Move The Sticks” draft podcast that one team told him Jeudy is the top player on Denver’s draft board.
If that’s the case, moving into the top 10 would allow the Broncos to leapfrog a stretch of wide receiver-needy teams ahead of their current pick, starting with the Jets at No. 11, and secure their top player.
Jeudy, 20, is arguably the top receiver prospect in the country and could end up being a top-10 pick when all is said done.
NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein compares him to Santonio Holmes in his scouting report.
The Athletic’s Dane Brugler has Jeudy rated as the No. 10 overall prospect and his No. 2 wide receiver.
During his college career at Alabama, Jeudy caught 159 passes for 2,742 yards receiving and 26 touchdowns over the course of 36 games.
