Update:
Adam Schefter said on “NFL Live” that he doesn’t think the Giants are “looking to deal” Odell Beckham, but they are listening to offers.
“They don’t seem inclined to move him, but we’ll see if that changes as the draft approaches,” Schefter said, per Evan Silva.
Meanwhile, Mike Garafolo reports that the trade buzz involving Beckham is “more of the same“, which is the Giants will listen to anything and never say never, but there’s “nothing remotely close to happening right now.”
According to Josina Anderson, there are teams that definitely have interest in trading for Odell Beckham Jr, but one team she spoke to explained that they’re not going to boost compensation by being the first to make a real overture to the Giants.
Anderson says the Giants would have to be more aggressive in terms of placing him on the trade block.
Jeff Howe reports that the Giants are still involved in trade discussions regarding WR Odell Beckham Jr.
Jay Glazer has maintained that the Giants are expected to at least listen to trade offers for Beckham this offseason, even though the team has publicly said they plan to keep him.
Jason La Canforapreviously reported yesterday that the Giants are not averse to trading Beckham.
According to La Canfora, Giants HC Pat Shurmur “has been at wits end on how to manage him” and “a trade is certainly not out of the question.”
The 49ers and Browns have both been tossed out as speculative landing spots for Beckham.
Beckham, 26, was taken with the No. 12 overall pick by the Giants back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $10,406,198 contract before the Giants picked up his fifth-year option in 2017.
Beckham was set to make a base salary of $8,459,000 for the 2018 season when he agreed to a new five-year extension worth up to $95 million and includes $65 million in total guarantees. He stands to make base salaries of $16.75 million and $14 million over the next two years.
In 2018, Beckham appeared in 12 games for the Giants and recorded 77 receptions for 1,052 yards receiving (13.7 YPC) and six touchdowns.
We’ll have more regarding Beckham as the news is available.
