The Detroit Lions signed former Redskins DL Darryl Tapp on Thursday.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press that free agent DL Darryl Tapp plans on signing with the Lions Thursday.
Tapp was in Detroit for a visit with the Lions Thursday, so it appears as though they moved quickly to get this deal done.
The Lions lost DE Willie Young to the Bears earlier in the day, so they could view Tapp as an adequate replacement for Young. Tapp will be reunited with former defensive line coach Jim Washburn in Detroit.
