Jeff Howe reports that the Patriots are “hot on cornerbacks.”
Howe specifically mentions that they’ve “inquired about” free agent CBs Chris Gamble and Derek Cox.
They’ve also been linked to CB Sean Smith as well, but there hasn’t been a news regarding interest in retaining Aqib Talib.
New England has a good deal of cap space to work with, so it seems likely that they would be able to land one of the best cornerbacks on the market.
