According to Sean Cunningham, the Raiders are signing RB Devontae Booker to a contract and is pending a physical.
Earlier in the day, Frank Gore mentioned that he nearly signed with the Raiders before opting to join the Jets, so it was clear that Las Vegas was in the market for some more running back help.
As of now, the Raiders have Josh Jacobs, Jalen Richard, rookie Lynn Bowden Jr. Rod Smith, Williams Stanback and Booker at the running back position.
Booker, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2016. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.723 million rookie contract and has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2019, Booker appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and rushed for nine yards on two carries while catching six passes for 57 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
