Update:

————

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans reached an agreement with No. 1 overall pick DE/OLB Jadeveon Clowney.

The only draft pick who the Texans have yet to sign is second-round selection G Xavier Su’a-Filo

Clowney’s four-year contract

four-year contract is worth an estimated $22,272,998 and includes a signing bonus of $14,518,544, according to OverTheCap.com.

The Texans really bolstered their defensive front-seven with the additions of Clowney and third-round pick NT Louis Nix. If Clowney is able to step in and produce from day one, they could have the most dominant pass-rush tandem in recent years with J.J. Watt who is already among the best players in the NFL.

At South Carolina, Clowney totaled 130 tackles, 47 tackles for a loss, 24 sacks, nine forced fumbles and a recovery.
