Ryan Mallett Disappointing In Preseason

Greg Bedard from the Boston Globeย writes that Patriots QBย Ryan Mallettย continues to disappoint.

Mallett was 16-of-37 for 178 yards, no touchdown and 2 interceptions in Thursday’s game against the Saints. Although we did get to see a few good passes the overallย  performance was not good.

“He just didnโ€™t look comfortable and the game is not coming naturally to him,”ย writes Bedard.ย “Mallett appears to be thinking way too much. He canโ€™t play like that.”

Mallettย is competing with Brian Hoyerย for the right to be Tom Brady‘s backup, but after Thursday’s performance, the former third-round pick in the 2011 draft, will have to show some serious signs of improvement before the team considers the idea.
