ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Byrd receives a six-year, $54 million contract that includes $28 million guaranteed.
Byrd, 27, is believed to seeking a long-term deal that would pay him as much as $9 million per season, so it will be interesting to see the details of this contract.
Last year, Byrd totaled 48 tackles, 4 sacks, one interception and a forced fumble for the Bills defense. Pro Football Focus has Byrd rated as the No. 8 safety in the league last season.
