The New Orleans Saints officially promoted TE Jason Vander Laan to their active roster on Friday and placed WR Austin Carr on injured reserve.
- The Saints also signed RB Ricky Ortiz to their practice squad.

- OL Derrick Kelly II
- S T.J. Green
- DE Mitchell Loewen
- DT Taylor Stallworth
- WR Lil-Jordan Humphrey
- LB Andrew Dowell
- RB Ricky Ortiz
Carr, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Northwestern back in 2017. He later signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Patriots, but was waiving coming out of the preseason.
The Saints later claimed Carr off of waivers and he’s remained in New Orleans ever since.
In 2019, Carr has appeared in six games for the Saints and caught one pass for nine yards and no touchdowns.
