Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Saints are bringing in free agent RB Travaris Cadet for a workout on Tuesday.
Alvin Kamara is dealing with an ankle injury, so it’s possible New Orleans could be lining up potential options in case he’s unable to go in Week 7.
Cadet, 30, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2012. He spent three years in New Orleans before he having brief stints with the Patriots and 49ers.
Cadet returned to the Saints at the end of the 2015 season and spent another two years in New Orleans. From there, he played for the Jets and Bills before signing on with the Panthers last year.
For his career, Cadet has rushed for 197 yards on 60 carries (2.7 YPC) to go along with 119 receptions for 964 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.
