Seahawks Could Be Nearing Deal With RB Isaiah Crowell

Ian Furness of KJR hears that the Seahawks and RB Isaiah Crowell could be close to getting a deal done. However, Furness says there’s nothing confirmed at this point.

Crowell is coming off of a season-ending Achilles tear he suffered last May. However, he’s several months removed from the injury and should be ready to go for the 2020 season.

Crowell, 27, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama State back in 2014. He played out his rookie contract and re-signed with the Browns as a restricted free agent.

Crowell departed in free agency last year for a three-year, $12 million contract that included $6 million guaranteed with the Jets. He was released last year and later signed a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Raiders.

In 2018, Crowell appeared in 13 games for the Jets and rushed for 685 yards on 143 carries (4.8 YPC) to go along with 21 receptions for 152 yards receiving and six total touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding the Seahawks and Crowell as the news is available.
