Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks are bringing former Packers DEย Josh Boyd for a workout on Monday.
This is the first reported interest in Boyd since Packers cut him loose shortly after this year’s NFL Draft. Boyd has been working his way back from an ankle injury that ended his 2015 season.
Boyd, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Packers back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.25 million rookie contractย and set to make a base salary ofย $675,000 for the 2016 season when the Packers waived him this past May.
In 2015, Boyd appeared in two games for the Packers after he suffered a torn ligaments in addition to a broken bone in his ankle and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve.
