Steelers Activate RB James Conner From COVID-19 List, Sign DE Cassius Marsh

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they’ve activated RB James Conner from the COVID-19 list and signed DE Cassius Marsh off of the Colts’ practice squad.

The Steelers also designated LB Ulysees Gilbert III to return from injured reserve. 

Conner, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Steelers back in 2017. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $3.09 million contract that included a $706,288 signing bonus and stands to make a base salary of $745,000 for the 2020 season. 

Conner will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021. 

In 2020, Conner has appeared in 10 games for the Steelers and rushed for 645 yards on 145 carries (4.4 YPC) to go along with 25 receptions for 145 yards receiving and five touchdowns.
