The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they’ve hired Matt Canada as their QBs coach.
Ian Rapoport notes that several NFL teams had consulted Canada over the past year or so about incorporating his offensive concepts.
Canada, 47, began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Indiana back in 1994. From there, Canada worked for a number of universities including Butler, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, N.C. State, Pittsburgh and LSU.
Maryland hired Canada as their offensive coordinator in 2018 and he was later promoted to interim head coach after D.J. Durkin was put on administrative leave.
