The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Tuesday that they’ve placed LB Ulysees Gilbert on injured reserve and LB Robert Spillane to their active roster.
Gilbert, 22, was selected in the sixth round of this year’s draft by the Steelers. He later agreed to a four-year, $2.6 million contract and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
Gilbert stands to make base salaries of $585,000 and $675,000 over the next two years.
In 2019, Gilbert appeared in seven games for the Steelers and recorded three tackles.
