Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels will miss a month following a knee scope, per Brooke Pryor.
Samuels was injured in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Ravens and was spotted in the locker room on crutches Tuesday. He’ll likely be replaced by Benny Snell as Pittsburgh’s primary backup running back to James Conner.
Samuels, 23, was selected in the fifth round out of North Carolina State by the Steelers. He signed a four-year, $2,718,064 contract that included a $258,064 signing bonus.
In 2019, Samuel has appeared in five games for the Steelers and rushed 18 times for 50 yards and a touchdown. He’s also caught 13 passes for 80 yards and completed four of five passing attempts for 35 yards and an interception.
