Steelers HC Mike Tomlin confirmed Tuesday that Devlin Hodges will get another start in Week 14 for their matchup with the Cardinals.
“He’s performed well in hostile environments but he doesn’t have a big sample size,” Tomlin said, per Gerry Dulac.
This will be the third start for Hodges this year.
Hodges took over for previous Steelers starting QB Mason Rudolph in Week 12 and helped lead the team to a win over the Bengals. Pittsburgh gave him the start last week and he managed to help them beat the Browns.
Hodges, 23, signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Samford in May following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was waived coming out of the preseason but re-signed to Pittsburgh’s practice squad.
Pittsburgh promoted Hodges to the active roster following the season-ending injury to QB Ben Roethlisberger.
In 2019, Hodges has appeared in four games for the Steelers and completed 41-of-61 passes for 530 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing for 31 yards.
