Texans Place S A.J. Moore On IR, Sign RB C.J. Prosise To Active Roster

The Houston Texans have placed S A.J. Moore on injured reserve Monday and signed RB C.J. Prosise to their active roster.

This explains why the Texans are hosting free agent S Earl Thomas for a workout this week with the expectation that he’ll sign

It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.

Moore, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Ole Miss back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Patriots, but was waived a few months later.

The Texans later claimed Moore off of waivers and he’s been in Houston ever since.

In 2020, Moore has appeared in three games for the Texans and recorded seven tackles and no interceptions.
