Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that Texans QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is believed to have suffered a fractured leg during Sunday’s game against the Colts.

If further testing confirms that Fitzpatrick does, in fact, have a leg fracture, his 2014 season would obviously be over.

Rookie QB Tom Savage was forced to step in for Fitzpatrick after they elected to deactivate veteran Thad Lewis for today’s game.

Fitzpatrick, 32, signed a two-year, $7.5 million contract that included $4 million guaranteed with Houston back in March.

Entering today’s game, Fitzpatrick had thrown for 2,453 yards while completing 63.4 percent of his passes for 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
