According to Ian Rapoport, the Texans are signing free-agent RB C.J. Prosise to their practice squad on Saturday.
Houston brought him in for a visit yesterday, so they were clearly impressed enough to quickly add him. (NFLTR)
Prosise, 26, is a former third-round pick by the Seahawks out of Notre Dame in the 2016 NFL Draft. He finished out his four-year, $3.11 million rookie contract and is testing the open market for the first time in his NFL career.
He’s visited with the Colts, Bears, Lions, and Texans since becoming a free agent.
In 2019, Prosise appeared in eight games and rushed for 58 yards on 19 carries (3.1 YPC) to go along with 10 receptions for 76 yards receiving and one total touchdown.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
