The Eagles Are The Mystery Team Interested In RGIII?

SI’s Peter King mentions that the Eagles as a dark-horse option to trade up for Baylor QB Robert Griffin III.

A few weeks ago, Rams COO Kevin Demoff mentioned that they’d received a “feeler” from a team “you would never expect” which in turn created plenty of speculation as to who team the team could be.

King mentions that Eagles head coach Andy Reidloved” Griffin after getting the opportunity to meet him at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine.

It’s worth noting that this is a speculative idea proposed by King but he is also one the most well connected writers in the NFL so the idea is, at the very least, worth mentioning.

King also writes that the Kansas City Chiefs “might risk it all to go get Griffin” as Scott Pioli is said have been equally impressed with the young quarterback.

The Eagles would have to give up a good majority of the draft picks that they’ve acquired in recent years to make this deal happen. Right now, they’re sitting at #15 but they do have two second-round picks in this year’s draft to work with. Still, I can’t see the Eagles coming anywhere near the Redskins offer.
