The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday that they’ve promoted wide receivers Tre McBride and Andrew Turzilli to their active roster from their practice squad.
- CB Jason McCourty and WR Justin Hunter were placed on season-ending injured reserve.
- The Titans also signed OLB Yannik Cudjoe-Virgil and CB Shaquille Richardson to their practice squad.
- OLB Markus Pierce-Brewster was released to make room for the new addition.
This moves comes after the news that WR Justin Hunter is out for the year with a broken ankle. Hunter is underwent surgery on Monday, so they could clearly use some more receiver depth.
McBride, 23, was taken in the seventh-round of this year’s NFL draft, which many believed was a great value pick for the Titans. However, McBride was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to the team’s practice squad just a day later.
During four years at William & Mary, McBride caught 196 passes for 2,653 yards (13.5 YPR) and 19 TDs in 45 games.
